The sky was full of clouds and there were light breeze spinning grey drifts of water at the edge of white, sandy beach. As I looked across the horizon that was hovering in the distance, I could not help smiling. As I listened to the giant waves crashing to the shore rhythmically and watched the majestic seagulls soaring through the crisp, clear air that burst with the scent of the dew-drenced ground, I sighed with contentment.
Happiness is tranquility; when the surrounding is as quiet as the library. Happiness is a pleasant feeling, akin to the day dawning bright and clear. A feeling that will never be forgotten, and that is happiness !
I tried. I really did. I tried with every ounce of willpower I had, and I finally did it. A whole month had passed. Things got pretty hot during the first two weeks and now there are just the occasional surprise package. The bestest thing has happened to me already and I will always endow it with all the happiness in the world.

Cheated by complexity
The cruel winds swirled past a lone figure, sending yet another wave of cold chills down his body. He continued to push forward, step after step. Lifting his head, he could just make out the peak, before the sun dipped below it, plunging the entire area into darkness. Sighing, he trudged to the side, just under the shade of a rock, to catch a breather. He was sure that it would take him more than a day to reach his ultimate goal - the answers to whatever questions he has.
Exhaustion soaked every fibre of his body, transforming it into a sponge. Involuntarily, his mind started to give up albeit, he mustered with all his might just to keep them alive. Waking up to the painful reality, he realized that he has been dreaming for an hour. Tears, which were trickling down his cheeks, froze on his skin as he hurriedly tried to clean them off.
Feeling a surge of energy, he pushed himself off the cold and tormenting weather and trudged on, but now with a renewed confidence. 'What do I do next ?' - Cheated by complexity
I'm finally updating my blog ever since my last entry in Deutschland. The last dinner at the Exile with the Erasmus group has definitely lodged itself into my mind - reminiscing the days where we first crossed path and how we got acquainted. I love them all !

Stay true
Before the sound of his footsteps had ceased to echo through the house, he had slipped off his shoes; and drawing his shirt loosely over his head, and muffling his arms in it, stood at the door, listening with breathless interest. It feels so invigorating, to take a moment off your life and admire at the beauty of mother nature; the green crisp grasses swaying in sync with the wind, the delicated smile of the half-cresent moon. There's always two sides to a coin; head and tail that will never meet each other.
Life's the same. Just imagine this scenario - "You have fallen deep into the forest and were on the verge of surrendering your life to fate. However, at that particular moment, you saw a glimpse of white light staring at you towards the other end. You fussed and hurried your way through the thick bushes, feeling a sense of euphoria instaneously. And when you managed to thrust your hand through the bright light, thinking that you have escaped death, you had actually fallen deeper into the forest. Now, there's no turning back, only to wait for death to claim you."
You came a long way only to realised that everything was false. Easier said than done; look on the bright side and take things in your stride. The agony, sorrow and frustation is beyond any description; no one sentence can fill perfectly. Oh well, maybe that's a price to pay for growing up.
"Let go, it is easier to be.
I know it is the only way to be free.
Its hard wondering who and what went wrong.
All that i know is we could not hold on.
I can't keep going on the way we are.
We should act like strangers from now on and part.
Let's not make it harder for ourselves.
I'll make it easy for you too; its now or never.Because my heart tells me to leave."

So Close
You’re in my arms
And all the world is calm
The music playing on for only two
So close together
And when I’m with you
So close to feeling alive
A life goes by
Romantic dreams will stop
So I bid mine goodbye and never knew
So close was waiting, waiting here with you
And now forever I know
All that I wanted to hold you
So close
So close to reaching that famous happy end
Almost believing this was not pretend
And now you’re beside me and look how far we’ve come
So far we are so close
How could I face the faceless days
If I should lose you now?
We’re so close
To reaching that famous happy end
And almost believing this was not pretend
Let’s go on dreaming for we know we are
So close
So close
And still so far
And all the world is calm
The music playing on for only two
So close together
And when I’m with you
So close to feeling alive
A life goes by
Romantic dreams will stop
So I bid mine goodbye and never knew
So close was waiting, waiting here with you

Impacted
Band friends:
Qiong Qiao - Zhu Tou! She's one of the most trustworthy buddies that I have met so far, furthermore she's akin to my er jie. No matter what goes wrong, she will be the one who gives me good advice and directions. Moreover, we often think alike and share the same passion of scouting for chio bu-s and shuai ge-s along the streets. A new dimension was added into my life because of her existance and help along the way.
Yee Sin - Da Bian! I can still remember the day when we had our thai language lessons and were taught about the word hong nam. Instantaneously, our first reaction was to look at yeesin and loud guffaws were heard from the back of the class. She's akin to my da jie; someone who gives me advices and help along the way too. I remember the time when I could not longer bottle up the feelings in me and started pouring to QQ and YS. It was then I felt that my burden was threw nine miles away. Furthermore, the combination of QQ and me is perfect when it comes to suan-ing her, but being magnanimous, she just laughed it away.
Gui Zhi - Lamer Queen! The renowned lamer in our clique who never fails to entertain us with her lame-ness 'la'. She was also my band major back then, but we only got to know each other better after Chiangmai trip. All i can say about Gz is that she's super duper helpful and cheerful, but get hooked on maple and gunbound easily. She's one of the smartest among us all too; smart ass.
Shuping - SP! She's the one of the few basketball pals i have during my regime as a band leader. Her outgoing personality makes her stand out among the crowd and she's a consistent performer too. It was only during the Chiangmai trip that i got to know her better as a friend - someone who will give her all to help and will definitely sound out what she thinks is wrong. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
Zhi Hao - Ultrahao! My librarian and section mate throughout my secondary school band life. It was such coincidence that the both of us had to work for the worst department in band and we almost screwed in up together. I still remember those days where we were in the staff room copying scores for the band and made several machines spoilt. He is one of those that you can really count on a lot and I must thank him for all the advice he gave me before I left. He's one heck of a good pal.
6 long years of friendship can never be written just like that - ups and downs, weals and woes we went through together. Those were the days I can never forget, and having them by my side is a blessing, so what more can I ask for.
Basketball/Classmates:
Zhongyong - My disciple for the various technique in basketball - taught him various technique that could come in handy for the position he was playing at. Furthermore, his swift movement will accentuate those moves that I could seldom run at the low post. He's also one of the jokers amongst us who never fails to irritate me everytime. Having said that, he adds laughter into my dull and boring life.
Riyu - Magic Johnson. One heck of a shot-blocker and sharp-shooter. He's our go-to-guy during the dying seconds of the match. There was once when my bucket put the game back into 1 and we had less than 15 seconds to win the match, I dragged the defender out and passed the ball to him with 5 seconds running on the clock. Without a doubt, he knocked it down and the underdogs won the game by the slightest of a margin. His energy also gives us inspiration and motivation to do better - a good person off and on the court.
Chun Tat - Boss! He's the one who organises every training and match for us; someone to do the dirty business for the team. A low-post player that loves to back-down on opponents and calm us down when everything starts to go haywire. A bubbly and fun-loving guy whom will always help u if it is within his ability. Moreover, he was my "neighbor" for my last year in secondary school - someone who sits next to me and often fight with.
Kia Heen - MP3! His name will ring a bell and that bell sounds a MP3. Although i seldom get to see him during training, I will always ask him for new songs whenever i have a chance. My chinese and math lessons buddy who always joke around with teacher during lessons. He's a good all-rounder kind of player who needs to calm his composure under pressure. aka my gay buddy.
8 long years of close companions, be it in studies or basketball. I just wish I could have brought all this over and continue from where we left off.
.... a continuation of the list that I have written on my blog the day before I left. Still reminiscing !
